Titre : Development and Evaluation of the Lifestyle History Questionnaire (LHQ) for People Entering Treatment for Substance Addictions Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Linda M. MARTIN ; Robert TRISCARI ; Rosemary BOISVERT ; et al. Année de publication : 2015 Article en page(s) : p.1-9 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Toxicomanie Autoévaluation Activités vie quotidienne Consommation drogue Habitude Environnement Questionnaire Psychométrie Echelle psychométriqueHabits Lifestyle Psychometrics Self report Substances/related disorders Résumé : OBJECTIVE. We developed and investigated the psychometric properties of the Lifestyle History Questionnaire (LHQ), a self-report instrument designed to measure the extent of occupational dysfunction attributable to substance abuse.
METHOD. The instrument was developed using concepts in the ecological models of occupational therapy and in the work of William L. White, who defined addiction culture in terms of the patterns of life in context. We analyzed data from two field tests using both classical test theory and item response theory.
RESULTS. The final version of the instrument has 70 items, 1 unifying construct, and 8 subscales. We found it to be valid and reliable (α = .93) for measuring the extent of occupational dysfunction and specific areas of strengths and weaknesses.
CONCLUSION. The LHQ is a promising new instrument, the first of its kind to measure occupational dysfunction in context for people with substance addictions.Permalink : ./index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=35893

[article]
Titre : Development and preliminary psychometric evaluation of the Self-Perceptions in Rehabilitation Questionnaire (SPIRQ) for brain injury rehabilitation Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Tamara OWNSWORTH ; Ea STEWART ; et al. ; Jennifer Fleming Année de publication : 2013 Article en page(s) : p. 336-344 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Traumatisme Conscient Psychométrie Questionnaire Estime soi Résumé : OBJECTIVE:The Self-Perceptions in Rehabilitation Questionnaire (SPIRQ) is a brief measure developed to monitor client self-perceptions, motivation, and emotional reactions throughout rehabilitation. We describe the SPIRQ's development and preliminary psychometric evaluation.
METHOD:One hundred five adults with traumatic brain injury attending two brain injury rehabilitation units completed the SPIRQ during occupational therapy sessions. A subset (n = 33) completed the SPIRQ twice over a 5- to 7-day interval to examine test-retest reliability.
RESULTS:Exploratory factor analysis yielded three factors: Changes in Self and Life Plans, Self in Rehabilitation, and Emotional Reactions. Their internal consistency was sound (αs = .72-.83). Test-retest reliability was generally acceptable (rs = .67-.81), and scores did not significantly change between testing occasions (p > .05).
CONCLUSION:We found preliminary support for the SPIRQ scales' reliability and construct validity. Future empirical evaluation and potential clinical applications of the SPIRQ in occupational therapy are discussed.Permalink : ./index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=14036

Exclu du prêtDevelopment and Psychometric Evaluation of the Vocational Fit Assessment (VFA) / Andrew C. PERSCH in American Journal of Occupational Therapy, Vol. 69/6 (novembre/décembre 2015)
[article]
Titre : Development and Psychometric Evaluation of the Vocational Fit Assessment (VFA) Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Andrew C. PERSCH ; P. Christian GUGUI ; James A. ONATE ; et al. Année de publication : 2015 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Psychométrie Bilan compétence Résumé : OBJECTIVE. The objective of this study was to determine the psychometric properties of the Vocational Fit Assessment (VFA) by examining its factor structure and subscale reliability.
METHOD. This prospective cross-sectional study used two surveys (one for worker abilities and one for job demands) to collect the data needed for the psychometric evaluation of the VFA. Latent parallel analysis and ordinal exploratory factor analysis were used to iteratively refine VFA subscales.
RESULTS. Ten unidimensional subscales emerged from factor analysis of VFA items: (1) Cognitive Abilities, (2) Communication Skills, (3) Computer Skills, (4) Higher Task-Related Abilities, (5) Interpersonal Skills, (6) Lower Task-Related Abilities, (7) Physical Abilities, (8) Safety, (9) Self-Determination, and (10) Work Structure. Subscale internal consistency (ordinal α) was ≥.86 for VFA for worker abilities and ≥.77 for VFA for job demands.
CONCLUSION. The unidimensional structure of VFA subscales and estimates of internal consistency lend initial evidence in support of their reliability and validity.Permalink : ./index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=41518

Exclu du prêtLe développement de la « Pediatric Motivation Scale » en réhabilitation / Sandy K. TATLA in Canadian Journal of Occupational Therapy, 82(2) (avril 2015)
[article]
But.
Permalink : ./index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=35909
