The launch began with a number of workshops on issues that were deemed topical within Europe, such as eHealth, displaced people, evidence-based practice and research, primary care, influencing political decision making, emerging areas of practice, and fieldwork practice. Each workshop was hosted by people from different parts of Europe including Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Latvia, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom (UK). The primary aim of OT-EU and the workshops was to identify work streams that would improve the visibility and value of occupational therapy in Europe.
