EducationMots-clés : Roumanie Pratique sociale Post-communisme Education Formation Travail social Résumé : "This paper examines the authors’ experiences of developing and delivering training for workers in social care services in Romania, through a European Union PHARE funded project. The authors use their experiences to draw on the past and current practices of those social workers who were participants in the training and to explore their understanding of the emerging issues and themes for social work in Romania. There is also an exploration of the potential opportunities for the further development of professional social work learning and practice within Romania. The case is made that learning and development of social workers could be supported through the encouragement of participatory networks and ‘communities of practice’." Enfants:Enfants -- Protection, assistance, etc.Mots-clés : Pratique sociale Protection de l'enfance Intervention Résumé : "This paper discusses the development of a practice framework for child welfare in New Zealand. A practice framework is defined as a conceptual map that brings together, in an accessible design, an agency’s approach to social work practice with children and families. Designed as a tool for practitioners, the New Zealand practice framework integrates three perspectives: child-centred; family-led and culturally responsive; and strengths and evidence-based. The practice framework establishes a vision for New Zealand child welfare work that is grounded in the realities of practice, supported by research and embedded in a set of principles and values that are essential to the work. As a concept, it provides a clear understanding of what underpins the work, and how this informs our interventions with children and families. As a tool for practitioners, it provides a theoretically informed intervention logic and a set of triggers to support best practice." Enfants:Enfants -- Protection, assistance, etc. # Réflexivité (philosophie) # Théorie de la connaissanceMots-clés : Pratique sociale Reflexivité Connaissance Travail social Protection de l'enfance Résumé : "In recent years, there has been growing interest in reflective practice as an approach that acknowledges the complexity and uncertainty inherent in contemporary social work practice. Whilst attention has been paid to how reflective practice is defined and understood, less consideration has been given to the conditions that facilitate its development. Drawing on recent doctoral research, this paper suggests that a particular type of reflective practice—holistic reflective practice—has the potential to encourage thoughtful and creative practice capable of addressing the challenges of contemporary child-care practice. Findings from this research indicate that for holistic reflective practice to be facilitated, the interdependence of the practitioner, team and organizational contexts needs to be recognized. Practitioners need to work within safe containing contexts characterized by: clear organizational and professional boundaries; multifaceted reflective forums; collaborative and communicative working practices; and open and ‘contextually connected’ managers. Drawing on these findings and theorizing them in relation to Bion’s concept of containment, the paper concludes by proposing a model of containment for the promotion of reflective practice." It is a process of self-analysis, self-evaluation, self-dialogue and self-observation. Under appropriate conditions, social workers’ self-reflection can be very constructive, resulting in self-enhancement. However, under inappropriate conditions, social workers’ self-reflection in reflective practice can be destructive and create problems for their professional and self-development."
