Résumé : |
In the past, attitudes to disabled persons often tended to be dehumanizing, despite good intentions. Current frameworks based on functioning and person-driven goal setting hopefully abate stereotypes and prejudice and allow persons with cerebral palsy to thrive in ways that centre on their aspirations rather than their disability.
One of the challenges in rehabilitation medicine is to develop and integrate technologies to overcome individuals’ own limitations and improve their functioning capacities in a meaningful way. Examples of sophisticated technologies applied in cerebral palsy include robotic exoskeletons [1], neural-control interface devices [2] and brain stimulation techniques [3]. |
