Ces difficultés peuvent être diverses, multiples. Au niveau du SAJ, il s’agit toujours d’une aide négociée. Les parents seront soutenus dans l’exercice de leur parentalité via un programme d’aide décliné en objectifs qui auront été discutés avec eux, pour lesquels ils auront marqué leur accord et s’engageront dans la durée. Dans certaines situations où les parents sont particulièrement fragilisés par des problèmes d’assuétudes, d’alcoolisme, de dépression, de schizophrénie ou autre, le SAJ se fait davantage vigilant. Des mesures sont prises pour aider l’enfant, voire le mettre à l’abri ; des partenariats se tissent autour des parents pour les encadrer dans leurs rôles parentaux mais également les amener à se (re)prendre en main. Une évidence s’impose cependant : l’enfant pour aller mieux a besoin de savoir que l’on s’occupe de ses parents, qu’on les aide, eux aussi, à aller mieux..."
