[article]
Titre : When work hurts and care equals pain for Australian midwives. Neck and upper back musculoskeletal symptoms Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Thierry Robin Année de publication : 2016 Article en page(s) : p. 45-47 Langues : Français (fre) Mots-clés : Sage-femme Douleur TROUBLE MUSCULOSQUELETTIQUE Travail Résumé : Midwifery is far from being a cushy world, it implies physical involvement and exertion on the part of the women doing the job. The labour of the women giving birth may then entail pains in the carers doing their best to help them in those crucial moments when all may look extreme: feelings, joy, sufferings, tension, expectations, etc. The following Australian paper written by Maryann H. Long Venerina Johnston and Fiona Bogossian explores that paradox when relieving the women's pains may hurt in the long run.

Titre : When your type of personality predicts the complications of childbirth… Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Thierry Robin, Auteur Année de publication : 2015 Article en page(s) : p. 45-47 Langues : Français (fre) Mots-clés : PERSONNALITE ANXIETE COMPLICATION ACCOUCHEMENT Résumé : Anxiety during pregnancy and childbirth can increase risk of complications and interventions for both mother and infant. Although considerable work has explored fear of childbirth and anxiety during labour and subsequent birth outcomes there has been less consideration of the role of more stable maternal personality upon childbirth. The aim of the current research done by Ross G. Johnston and Amy E. Brown is to examine the relationship between trait personality and childbirth experience.
